3. "Songs for a New World" Seeks Director, Vocal Director
Dear theatre-lovers,
The Sid Musical Committee would like to announce that we're considering putting on Jason Robert Brown's "Songs for a New World" in the spring semester. We've tentatively scheduled performances for April 1st-3rd and April 8th-10th. Although we have a number of positions on the production team covered, we still don't have a director and vocal/music director for this production. Anyone interested in either of these positions can e-mail Jacob Lindse at jal3@rice.edu. Qualified candidates should have previous experience in
that position, preferably at the college level. Applications will be due by 12:00 pm on Monday, November 16th.
If we're unable to appoint directors at this time, the committee has decided that we'll be putting on a David Mamet or Tom Stoppard play. We'll be announcing production and audition information about whatever show we end up going with at the end of this semester.
Thanks a lot,
Jacob Lindsey
