3. Career Opps for Rice Students
As a graduating senior you are no doubt trying to decide what you will do next year, or even for the next 5 years. I want to let you know more about opportunities in the environmental advocacy field.

http://www.EnvironmentAmerica.org/jobs

Environment America is the federation of state-based environmental advocacy organizations, from Environment California to Environment Texas to Environment Massachusetts. This year we are hiring graduating college seniors for our fellowship program to help change the environmental direction in this country: to solve our energy problems; fight global warming; preserve our open spaces; clean up our air and water; and make an impact on many other environmental issues. Environment America gives recent graduates the opportunity to mobilize and empower Americans and work with legislators on environmental policy. We build and demonstrate support for proposals at the state and federal levels to ensure that decision makers hear from and pay attention to the public.

We will be attending the CIC's Good Works Career Fair and holding interviews on campus next week, on Thurs., 2/19 from 2pm-5pm in the RMC and all day on Fri., 2/20 in the Center for Student Professional Development, respectively. I encourage you to participate in either opportunity and get back in touch with me if you are interested at alumni@publicinterestnetwork.org.

For more information, I invite you to check out our Web site, or contact me directly.

Sincerely,

Kirsten Schatz

18. Hooking Up at the RWRC
The Rice Women's Resource Center is hosting its weekly Perspectives and Popcorn THIS WEDNESDAY, Feb. 18th at 8 pm in the RWRC in Kelley Lounge in the RMC.

HOOKING UP?
Why we do it, why we don't, and why does our parents' generation care so much?!?

Possible Questions:
What does it mean to "hook up"? What do people actually do when they "hook up"?
Has "hooking up" replaced dating? What does that mean for our futures?
Is "hooking up" a new trend? Or is it all media hype?
What does "hooking up" mean for women?

Come with questions, or opinions, or just to listen and learn!

Grab some friends, and we hope to see you there!

- Anna and The RWRC
