4. My First Time Auditions/other stuff
Actors and Production Staff Needed for MY FIRST TIME
This year will be the second student production of My First Time, a
monologue-based play composed of stories about first sexual
experiences submitted by real people. Here is a link to the original
Off-Broadway show (http://myfirsttimetheplay.com/) and a youtube clip
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RboZE0he8vw) for a better idea of what
the show is like.
A great factor to our success last year was that the cast was diverse,
so we strongly encourage you to audition. No prior acting experience
is necessary, and passages will be provided at the auditions.
Audition times will be as follows:
Sunday, January 24th, 7-8:30pm McMurtry Commons
Monday, January 25th, 7-8:30pm Hanszen Commons
We'd also like to invite you to check out the performances in April
(04/08-04/10). The show will be FREE to all. We hope to see you there!
If you have any questions or are interested in getting involved with
the production end, email RiceMFT@gmail.com or look for the facebook
event.

5. Attention 24 Hour play participants
Please email players@rice.edu or leave a post on the event wall for the 24 Hour Plays facebook event telling me which position you want (actor, writer, or director). We still need all three, especially directors, so
sign-up or you might be unhappily surprised on Friday night.
Also, know that all participants need to show up Friday night at the Duncan PDR at 9 pm with a costume and/or prop item that you are willing to lend to the shows for the 24 hour period. If you are an actor or director, it should only take about an hour.
See you then!

6. Interested in Engineers Without Borders?
What you can do in EWB:
-Travel abroad for projects promoting sustainable development in El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Honduras!
-Design and build water tanks, water purification systems, solar powered
lighting systems, etc.
-Develop practical skills you cannot learn in class
-Plan health educational and training workshops for community members
-Serve as a translator
...And you don't have to be an engineer! :) ALL majors are welcome.
If this is your first time hearing about it then you probably just missed the recruitment meeting. (Sorry.) BUT, if you're interested, you can still contact Rashmi Kamath at rrk1@rice.edu to get more information about specific projects, their individual meeting times, contact info etc.
