By 2010, we aim to have some 7,500 corps members teaching in 33 regions. Campus campaign coordinators play a vital role in working towards this goal by joining Teach For America's effort to recruit talented and diverse college seniors to apply to our program and raise Teach For America's general visibility on campus.
Teach For America seeks outstanding undergraduate leaders to spearhead our recruitment efforts on your campus as campus campaign coordinators for the 2008-2009 academic year.
Main areas of responsibility:
*Work in consultation with the recruitment team to develop and execute an ambitious strategic plan for your campus to attract top students to Teach For America by identifying and reaching out to students and networking with professors and student organizations
*Plan and execute high-impact visits for Teach For America staff, corps members, and alumni who visit campus
*Increase Teach For America's general visibility on campus through the execution of mass publicity strategies (e-mail, campus press, hanging posters and flyers, etc.)
Campus campaign coordinators augment their professional skills in marketing, networking strategies, and communication while gaining an understanding of how a successful nonprofit organization operates.
Campus campaign coordinators will be paid hourly at state minimum wage. Total hours throughout the season will be determined by the Recruitment Director. Campus campaign coordinators will work from the start of school through approximately Friday, February 20, 2009.
